Basswood hardwood Boards
Basswood is a true hardwood, but it is softer, lighter, and less dense than many traditional hardwoods. Its pale color, fine grain, and even texture make it easy to cut, sand, carve, and finish.

S2S1E: Surfaced on two sides with one finished edge—an economical option for woodworkers who plan to further mill or customize the board.
Basswood is ideal for carving, crafts, signs, models, engraving, small boxes, trim, shelving, light-duty furniture, and other detailed projects. It accepts paint, stain, and clear finishes well, but its softer surface may dent more easily than denser hardwoods.
