Cedar - Aromatic
Aromatic Cedar is a distinctive wood species known for its rich reddish-purple heartwood, pale sapwood, and naturally fragrant aroma. Its characteristic scent comes from natural oils in the wood, which also help provide resistance to moths, insects, and decay, making it especially popular for closet lining, chests, drawers, storage boxes, and other interior applications. Aromatic Cedar is relatively lightweight, easy to machine, and visually striking, with varied grain patterns and strong color contrast. Its combination of natural fragrance, insect-repelling properties, durability, and decorative appearance makes it especially unique among North American softwoods.
