Wenge Hardwood Boards
Wenge is a premium exotic hardwood prized for its dramatic dark color, bold grain pattern, and distinctive natural character. Its deep brown to nearly black coloring makes it an excellent choice for adding contrast and visual impact to furniture, cabinetry, and other woodworking projects.
Because wenge is a higher-priced hardwood, it is often used as an accent wood rather than for an entire project. Its rich, dark tones pair especially well with lighter woods such as birch, maple, ash, and white oak, creating a striking two-tone appearance.
Wenge Hardwood Characteristics
- Deep chocolate-brown to nearly black color
