Afrormosia (African Teak) Hardwood Boards
Warm golden-to-amber hardwood with straight to interlocked grain and a fine-to-medium texture. Choose the ready-to-use S4S option for convenience, or S2S1E for a more economical board you can mill to your exact dimensions.
- Options: S4S (surfaced four sides), ready for DIY projects; S2S1E (surfaced two sides, one edge), ideal for woodworkers who will finish the remaining edge.
- Workability: Machines, planes, and sands well; holds fasteners securely. Use sharp tools and light cuts to reduce tear-out from interlocked grain.
- Durability: Dense and hard, with good resistance to rot and wear. Suitable for furniture, cabinetry, flooring accents, decking trim, and properly finished marine trim.
- Finishing: Accepts oils, varnish, lacquer, and water-based finishes. Samples are available to test color and finish compatibility.
- Tips: Acclimate boards before use, test finishes on a sample, and wear dust protection when machining or sanding.
