Product Description
Western Red Cedar post top plates made to fit on top of a 4x6 or 6x6 fence or deck post for a decorative finishing touch. This is a cap that sits flush on the post top, it does not slip over the edge. Can also be used as a base under a finial top.
These post top plates can be attached by either applying exterior caulk to the under-side of the post top, or by nailing the post top to the post with exterior grade finishing nails.
Post tops can be used with nominal or full posts.

It is recommended to seal immediately on all sides with an exterior grade product to minimize checking and cracking that occurs naturally to wood over time when exposed to UV rays and harsh weather conditions.
