Application tips:

Both surfaces must be clean, dry and free of oil or wax.  Any painted surfaces must be scarified or roughed up with a rough sandpaper before adhesive is applied.  Temperature for adhering must be above 65 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 24 hours before and after application to ensure proper bonding and drying.   Apply contact cement on both dry clean surfaces.  Allow both surfaces to dry 30 to 40 minutes before joining, depending on temperature and humidity in room.  Contact cement should be tacky and appear glossy.  Contact cement bonds immediately upon contact, so caution should be used to align surfaces properly.  A use of a dowel rods can be used to separate surfaces to assist during alignment process.  After surfaces are joined, pressure can be applied to surface starting in center and working out to edges.  No clamping is required.
