Universal shutter clips for vinyl shutters. Each bag contains 12 shutter clips. Shutters tend to expand and contract with normal daily temperature changes. Make sure there is at least 3/4" space for movement both above and below the shutter. It is recommended that all mounting clips be free to move vertically. These shutter clips can be mounted on wood, vinyl, aluminum, brick, stone or block exteriors. Masonry anchors are included. Use the masonry anchors included and screws (not included) for masonry exteriors. Use a 5/16" masonry drill bit for masonry applications. For vinyl and aluminum siding, drill a 1/4" hole through siding to allow siding to move. Using a 9/64" drill bit, drill into wall substrate. Use (4) four clips per shutter sizes up to 55". For sizes 59" through 81", it is recommended to use two extra clips per shutter in center of shutter. Shutter clips and masonry anchors are included, as pictured above. Screws and drill bits are not included.

So far, so good!
SS clips would have been 5 stars. Powder coat appeared thin for lifetime warrantee and I dont want rust streaks so I spray-painted mine, used SS screws and 'tented' the mounting screw holes w/silicone. Used 'ramp' cut from the Quest siding to obtain a proper mounting height (worked great). Made a mounting template using the shutter box to position the holes on the vinyl siding (worked great). Required wood block and rubber mallet to set the shutter. Did not attempt to remove. Me thinks I'll have bigger problems if the wind rips it off.

Easy to hang shutters
These replaced the original hangers which were no longer available. They were easy to install and the vinyl shutters snapped in place. The four star is because I am not sure how easy they will be when the shutters need to come off for painting.

Finally found a clip that works on my shutters!
The original shutters clips are no longer available. They were designed for thicker hanging rails and slid over anchor screws. These clips are of a different design. They are much easier to hang the shutters. Anchor the clips position the shutters and push on. I did have to modify the clips to accomedate the thicker rails, just a little bending to open the clip. I will be ordering more clips to replace all the original clips. Much easier to hang the shutter.

Shutter Clip Solid Panel Type
This clip is slightly shorter in length than the original clip installed on my brick veneer over 30 years ago. It is by design an improvement in strength at the transition of the clip fastener and the mounting slot. Good the clip is still available.For that reason 4 stars. Delivery and customer service 5 star.

Unfortunately, the shutter clips were too small, and I returned them.
Your response to the order was excellent. I would have appreciated knowing the size of the clips. This size I am replacing is 31/4 total length, with the holding portion 1 inch in length. NOTE FROM TotalWoodStore: Size of this clip is in Product Description and Pictures. The larger clips are no longer manufactured. These smaller clips are usually capable of replacing larger clips, but will be a tighter fit.
