This is a primed floating mantel bracket with a threaded rod for extra support. Iron Handcrafted bracket. Rod provides hidden support for mantel and can be cut shorter to accommodate your mantel's thickness. Made with 3/8 inch heavy steel. This bracket is designed to be unseen and give the shelf an appearance of floating. Shelf bracket can be put directly to a studded wall and covered with paneling, stone or sheetrock to give the appearance of floating. This bracket is sold individually.
To allow this floating bracket to be even more discreet, cut a channel in the bottom of the wooden mantel where the bracket will sit.
This bracket is ideal for at least a 3 " wooden mantel thickness. Not recommended for a wooden mantel less than 2" thick.
