Material Grade and Quality
Our Baltic Birch Plywood is generally graded B/BB. This means the front face boasts a B Grade quality, which features a smooth surface with no patches and only occasional blemishes, pin knots, or slight mineral streaking, giving the wood character and uniqueness. On the back side, the BB Grade allows for small color-matching patches in uniform white wood, along with the occasional pin knot or tight knot, adding an element of practicality without compromising strength. The result? A one-piece face veneer for both sides that looks great and performs well.
Construction and Inner Ply
Constructed with multi-ply solid birch inner plies, our plywood delivers superior strength and stability. We use Type 2 Hot Press Urea Resin Glue, ensuring the layers are bonded for maximum durability, making it ideal for everything from cabinetry to furniture making and intricate woodworking projects.

Note: Because pieces are cut from full 5x5 sheets, 12"x24" and 12"x48" panels may have the grain running along the 12" side rather than the long side. If you require a specific grain direction, please add a comment at checkout and we’ll accommodate your request.
Individual Sales and Size Variance Each Baltic Birch panel is sold individually and cut in our woodshop from larger 60"x60" sheets. Please allow approximately ±1/4" variance in finished dimensions due to the cutting process.

baltic birch redicut
I love this product for my kitchen cabinet modifications. Total wood does a good job of communication keeping the customer up to date and a carful job of packing so shipping damage is minimized. The reasons I only gave four stars are some of the cuts are frayed as though the feed rate was too high or the blade was dull, and on this particular shipment, one of my sheets was scored as though there was something on the saw table when it was cut at Total Wood. I am trying to salvage that sheet for this project but the jury is still out.

Product shipped as expected. Material looked really good and will likely result in a fine looking end project. My only negatives: 1. The panels were dirty and smeared with black dust. It may be hard to remove. 2. Some of the saw cuts were splintered. Fortunately, I oversized a bit so those could be trimmed..

Top quality
I’ve been searching for quality 1/8” ply for laser cutting. I keep running into wood with big gaps in the middle ply or glue pockets or knots from other suppliers. This wood is more expensive than others but when I did the flashlight trick I found ALL my sheets (20) to be 100% usable with no gaps/knots/etc. More expensive but worry free. It’s worth knowing that my cut will be 100% sellable every time. It cuts so beautifully on my laser.

Hard to find the 15mm size these days and at at fair price—Total Wood had both and shipped fast and well-packed. The quality was great.

Happily surprised
First time buying, not my last. Great quality product. I was impressed with the packaging--corners were wrapped in foam-lined cardboard. Edges were well preserved. Both 2x4 pieces came in one cardboard box. Very few voids, if any, with clean face and back. Shipping was high but can't be avoided.
