Each board is an actual 7/8" thick and graded as Select Tight Knot (STK), allowing for attractive tight knots on the rough side, which adds to the natural, rustic appeal.
Crafted with S1S2E (surfaced 1 side and 2 edges) finish, one side remains rough to highlight its rustic character, while the other side and edges are planed smooth. This versatile feature allows you to choose the preferred aesthetic for your project or let the natural beauty shine through.

Good quality and careful packaging
I ordered three pieces of 1x8 cedar lumber from the Total Wood Store because I do not want to visit the local lumberyard in person due to the pandemic. The purchase cost and shipping of this item were on the high side. However, I was pleasantly surprised when FedEx ground dropped the package near my door. The lumber was protected with cardboard pieces along all edges inside the outer cardboard box. I ordered lumber online from other lumberyards in the past, and the lumber never arrived protected this way. I will likely order more lumber from Total Wood Store if the pandemic will not subside soon.
