- Please be aware that 1-inch and 1-1/4-inch diameter dowels may be prone to bending or warping due to their length and slenderness.

The Hickory was softer than I needed. Also, the dowels were not straight enough for me at that length.

Has a good bow in it, was looking to cut it down to 48 and turn it but it’s a little scratchy.

72" x 1 1/4" Hickory dowel
I am very pleased with this order. I make training weapons for martial arts and I was hesitant about ordering because the 72 x 1" rods were very bowed and it took a lot to make them usable. These 1 1/4" inch are very true and I am willing to continue to order again.

Hickory dowels
I purchased these to use as Bo staffs. While they appear to be solid and attractive, both are slightly bowed. I’m going to try and straighten them. It probably won’t affect their performance, but aesthetically I’d prefer them to be straight.

2" round dowel
I ordered 3qty 6' 2" round red oak dowels for handrails. The items were well packed and arrived in great condition. The shipping cost was MUCH less than anyone else wanted to charge making the overall pricing much less than others. Items arrived within a few days. I recommend buying from the the Total Wood Store.

Very smooth and accurate. Slightly longer than 72” to disallow any deviations that would ruin needs. Very solid and consistent density. Very good wood :)
