5/4 x 6 Western Red Cedar Decking

This product is a 5/4" x 6" Western Red Cedar Decking with a bull-nose eased edge. Decking is kiln-dried and graded select with tight knots.  

Cedar is a softwood known for its stability, straight grain and durability in exterior climates. Naturally resistant to rot and decay without any treatment. Western Red Cedar is a softer wood than pine and normally reddish-tan in color. This wood ages to a natural silver-gray color when left unfinished outdoors. Cedar is sometimes favored over treated yellow pine for exterior projects due to it being lighter and more stable. Cedar does have acid properties which can be corrosive to some metals, therefore copper or stainless steel screws or nails should be used to limit reaction to the wood over time.
