Fulton mailbox with a gloss black or gloss gun metal silver is rust resistant and has a powder coating applied to heavy duty steel. This mailbox has a smooth surface. This US Postmaster approved mailbox has ridges on top to fit the metal straps that can be purchased. Straps are an exterior grade metal and tarnish-free.

For metal bands, choose either Brass or Nickel Finish. Cedar or treated yellow pine mounting blocks are included to attach straps to mailbox for a secure fit. Exterior rated screws included for metal straps. Metal straps have a clear protective wrap that can be removed at installation. The side without the protective coating fits against the mailbox. The protective coating side is the exposed metal band side. Each strap measures 26" long by 1-1/4" wide.

Mailbox is great, but not as good as the staff. I had ordered the box and extra brass straps because I didn't know it came with the mounting blocks. A customer service rep contacted me to make sure I needed both and corrected my order. Save me a few dollars. Good stuff. Thank you.

Perfect fit!
Needed to replace my mailbox in accordance with HOA specified size / style. This worked perfectly. There was a small blemish / dent on one side but I plan to touch it up with black paint if it becomes a problem. Also I recommend replacing the provided mounting blocks with some that are larger and pressure treated. The ones provided are small and brittle.
