Drip Cap Sample — 3–4" verification piece (full profile visible)
- Purpose: Verify profile, drip-lip projection, and fit against window/door heads or trim before ordering full-length drip cap.
- Size & Material:
- Drip Cap 188 — 1-1/16" (height) x 1-5/8" (projection) — primed pine (ready-to-paint; use where painted wood trim match is preferred)
- Drip Cap 197 — 11/16" (height) x 1-5/8" (projection) — PVC (unpainted; ideal where low maintenance and moisture resistance are priorities)
- Exterior benefits: Primed pine offers a traditional wood appearance and takes paint well for exact color-matching; PVC provides superior resistance to moisture, rot, and insect damage, reducing long-term maintenance in exposed conditions. Choose primed pine where finish and historic match matter; choose PVC where longevity and minimal upkeep are the priority.
- Profile details: Sample displays the full drip-lip, back-bend, and mounting flange so installers can confirm clearance, overlap with flashing, and compatibility with existing trim and siding.
- Sample size: Approximately 3–4" long — long enough to show full profile and how the drip channels water away from the face of the building.
- Use cases: Head flashings for windows and doors, small overhangs, trim terminations where controlled water shedding is required, and mock-ups for historic restoration details.
