Curly Maple S2S1E (surfaced 2 sides and 1 edge). This is a hard, dense, and durable Hardwood. Ideal to be used for tables, furniture and cabinets. Curly Maple turns, carves, and finishes well. These Curly Maple boards can have both sap and heart wood, meaning there could be areas of darker streaks mixed in the boards. Or the boards can be just sap wood with the lighter color and no dark streak in the wood.
This maple grows mostly in the Northern Hemisphere. The Curly Maple has wavy grain made by the tree being twisted and turned during it's growth.
This is for a board that is surfaced on both faces and cleaned up only on one edge. This allows the hardwood to be less expensive per board foot and ideal for a woodworker that will be doing more finishing of the board.
