Copper Mahogany Hardwood Traditional post cap protects and finishes your posts with the natural look of wood. The copper is 20 gauge 100% copper and will patina to a beautiful green over time. To delay this aging process of copper, simply spray it with an exterior grade clear lacquer.
These solid Mahogany Hardwood post caps are solid with miter-less corners to prevent cracks and splitting at the seams. This will allow your post cap to protect and enhance your post for years to come.
Assembly is required for this product. Attach the copper top to the wood by applying exterior clear silicon to the under-side of the copper post cap before placing on the post.
BEFORE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: It is recommended to apply an exterior grade sealer to ALL wood parts (top, bottom, inside and sides) of the cap BEFORE installation. Applying and maintaining a sealer on the caps will help minimize any weathering or cracking over time and give you a much longer life of your cap.
