End Sealer for Dense Hardwoods, Logs, and Lumber
ANCHORSEAL 2® for Hardwoods is a hybrid wax-and-polymer end sealer designed to help protect freshly cut logs and lumber from moisture loss, end checking, and drying-related cracks. Its advanced formula is especially effective on dense, slow-drying hardwoods such as ipe, wenge and other dense hardwood species.
Applied to the end grain, ANCHORSEAL 2® helps regulate the rate at which moisture escapes from the wood. This reduces the stress that can lead to end splits, checking, and cracking—helping preserve usable material and improve the appearance and value of your lumber.

Coverage
Coverage varies depending on the wood species, age, surface texture, and application thickness.
- 1 quart: Approximately 25–40 sq. ft.
- 1 gallon: Approximately 100–125 sq. ft.
For best results, apply ANCHORSEAL 2® as soon as possible after cutting and cover all exposed end grain thoroughly.
