Knotty white pine is more economical than Doug Fir or Cedar. These timbers are ideal for indoor use only. These timbers are less stable than the Doug fir and cedar choices.
The timbers come in wet and as the board dries, it will likely gain some checks and cracks which helps give it a rustic look. This is typical for the larger timbers. There will be some drying that has occurred before you receive the timber. Please allow timber to dry to a 15% to 19% moisture rate before sealing or coating.
