Birdseye Maple Hardwood Lumber Boards - Surfaced S4S (surfaced four sides) and kiln-dried. This board is more finished than our S2S1E boards and cut from our S2S material. Although surfaced, additional dressing and sanding of the boards may be needed to complete your project.
Birdseye Maple, usually the red maple or sugar maple species, gets it name from its appearance. Birdseye is defined as brownish dots and a whitish background. It is harder than soft maple and is resistant to abrasion. Most commonly used for butcher blocks, but can be used for wooden ware and flooring.
If you would like a less finished board, please see our S2S1E Hardwoods.
