ExteriorFireX CDX Fire Retardant Plywood made by Hoover. This sheet is 3/4" thick. Pressure impregnated with fire retardant chemicals and kiln-dried to reduce the spread of flames and minimize generation of smoke and reduce insurance rates. This plywood is designed to be used in areas exposed to the weather and high humidity. Ideal to be used in exterior balconies, stairways, siding, stables, fascia and roof sheathing to name a few.
ExteriorFireX meets the UL Solutions extended 30 minute duration of ASTM-84 (UL723). Each sheet of plywood has the UL Solutions classification stamp. Plywood is non-corrosive and has no halogens or sulfates.
ExteriorFireX is coated with a blue tint for easy identification on the jobsite. This plywood has a CDX grade meaning a lower grade on both front and back side. Plywood has NOT been treated for rot and decay. It is recommended to be primed and painted. If exposed to direct weather, it is recommended for the plywood to have a water repellent preservative finish.
If not in the Raleigh, NC area, this product needs to be motor-freighted to your location. There is a minimum of 8 sheets per order.
