Black Walnut Plywood Redi-Cuts has a high-quality veneer that's known for its rich, dark brown color and attractive grain patterns, making it a luxurious choice for various applications. It features strength and durability suitable for structural and decorative purposes and works easily with finishes and stains. The surface is smooth with a fine or medium grain, and the material is moderate to heavy in weight, depending on thickness. When used in smaller redi-cut sheets, it is ideal for custom furniture, decorative panels, drawer fronts, small cabinetry, and craft projects. Its combination of aesthetic appeal and workability makes it a popular choice for interior design elements where a premium, elegant look is desired in a convenient, pre-cut format.

The plywood has been intentionally left unfinished, allowing the customer to personalize and complete it to their liking. Available in 1/4”, 1/2" and 3/4” thickness.

  • Available in 1/4", 1/2" and 3/4" thickness
  • Choose from 12" x 48", 24" x 24" or 24" x 48" sheets
  • Sold Individually

GRADES of PLYWOOD:

The 1/4” thick sheet is a B-4 grade, considered Good on One Side.  Front face is patch-free and sanded smooth that may contain a small blemish and therefore a B grade. Back side will have the same or similar veneer that may contain visible seams, veneer joints, or filled knots of a 4 grade.  The B grade side is the stainable side.

The 1/2" thick plywood is an A-1 grade, considered Good on Both Sides with an A grade on the front face and a 1 grade on the back face. The "A" side of plywood refers to the face that has a smooth, defect-free finish, often used as the visible surface in finished projects. The "1 side" typically indicates the same high-quality face, meaning it is suitable for visible or decorative purposes. In your context, the "A" side is the premium, smooth surface, while the reverse side may have minor natural features but remains structurally sound.

The 3/4" thick sheets are a B-2 grade and considered Good on Two Sides. Plywood is a high-quality, cost-effective option suitable for cabinetry and interior use. Both sides are stain grade, with the front face graded B—featuring a clear, sanded, smooth surface with tight, even grain, and minor imperfections like small pin knots or blemishes. The back face is graded 2, allowing for minor defects such as pin knots or small patches, but remains clean and durable.

Please NOTE: The redi-cut sizes are cut down from a 4'x8' sheet in our woodshop.  Please allow 1/4"+/- variance in size to allow for saw blade cutting.

Great except one side had big chip missing. Fortunately it was covered. Overdone on packing, could have saved some shipping cost.
