Works Great!
When you buy a pre-built exterior door they come with a larger metal threshold at the bottom. I bought a red oak stair tread and cut it into a shape that when this is fit into it perfectly matches those pre-built thresholds. We have an interior door between the units of a duplex house. This makes it very classy.
