Accoya wood does not require coating and is easy to install. Ideal for cover porches.
Guidelines on installation:
- Must use Stainless Steel hardware.
- If using against treated lumber, must wrap joists with a plastic barrier or joist wrap to eliminate the woods from touching.
- Make a 1/4" space at all hard adjacent surfaces.
- To reduce possible swelling and improve appearance, proper porch ventilation is recommended but not required.
- Grade to bottom of joists should be 8" or more.
- Coat all 6 sides before installation with a high quality exterior-grade primer with a PH level of 9 or below. If staining, use a water-based exterior stain with a mildewcide or fungicide.
Not recommended for un-covered porches.
