6-Foot Solid Round Hardwood Dowels
Available in Hickory, Ash, Maple, Cherry, Poplar/White Pine, and Red Oak, these dowels are perfect for joinery, woodworking, ballet bars, stair balusters, and more. Choose from diameters of 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", 1-3/4", or 2". Each dowel is sanded smooth and ready for your project.
Note:
- All dowels are unfinished, allowing for custom finishing.
- 1" diameter by 72" long dowels may contain some bend or warpage due to length and thinness.
- 2" diameter dowels measure approximately 1-15/16" in actual diameter.

4 72" x 1 1/4" Hickory dowel

I am very pleased with this order. I make training weapons for martial arts and I was hesitant about ordering because the 72 x 1" rods were very bowed and it took a lot to make them usable. These 1 1/4" inch are very true and I am willing to continue to order again.

I purchased these to use as Bo staffs. While they appear to be solid and attractive, both are slightly bowed. I’m going to try and straighten them. It probably won’t affect their performance, but aesthetically I’d prefer them to be straight.

Very smooth and accurate. Slightly longer than 72” to disallow any deviations that would ruin needs. Very solid and consistent density. Very good wood :)
