White Pine Door Specifics

1. Prime + paint: Always use a separate high-quality exterior primer and exterior paint. Combined primer/paint or interior products will void the warranty.
2. Harsh climates: Apply Classic Wood Life Preservative before priming and painting.
3. Trimming: Door may arrive 1" longer for adjustment. Side stiles are longer for shipping—trim top stiles to fit frame; any trimming should be done from the bottom of the door.
4. No staining: Do not stain in place of priming and painting—staining voids the warranty.

General Installation Instructions

1. Acclimate: Store the door flat indoors (garage/house) for several days before install. Do not place directly on the ground—elevate off the floor.
2. Store dry: Keep in a low-humidity, dry area.
3. Preserve raw wood (pine): If applicable, apply several coats of Wood Life Classic Wood Preservative to raw wood before priming, staining, or sealing (product sold separately).
4. Seal all edges: Prime or seal all edges, including top and bottom, within 48 hours of fitting.
5. Finish: Use high-quality exterior-grade primer and paint for the final finish.
6. Remove tape: Pull tape from wood/glass seams before painting.
7. Warranty: Use the specified exterior products and steps to maintain warranty coverage.
