Shipping & Returns

In Store Pickup 

     Local customers in and around Wake County, North Carolina are eligible to elect in-store pickup.  An e-mail will be sent out as soon as the order is ready for pickup.  Please pick up all orders within 14 days of receiving e-mail confirming order is ready.  Orders can be picked up in Raleigh at:

     We ship to all 50 states in the United States and Canada. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped outside the continental United States.  

     We ship most products through the US Postal service or Fedex.  Larger motor-frieght items are shipped by SouthEastern Freight Lines.  Based on the size of the product, some packages must go Fedex or SouthEastern Freight Lines in which a physical address is necessary to ship.

     When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the items in your cart, shipping dates may vary.  We will e-mail you with an estimated ship date if it will not ship within 3 business days of your order. 


Returns Policy

     You may return new, unopened items within 60 days of delivery for a full refund.  We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

     You should expect to receive your refund within three weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (2 to 3 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

     All returned items must be in their original packages.  Please include a copy of your order receipt or include order number to expedite credit back to your account.  Please contact us at 800-244-6492 ext. 221 if you have any questions or comments on your return.


Damage of Product During Shipment

     If the item was damaged during shipment,  please provide us with your order number and a picture of the box as it was shipped to you. Please also provide a picture of the damaged item.  These pictures can be sent to onlinesales@capitolcitylumber.com.  Along with these pictures please state if you would like a credit for the damaged product or would like a replacement shipped out.
