BEFORE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Whether you choose a treated or cedar cap, please apply a

sealer on ALL wood parts (top, bottom, inside and sides) of the cap BEFORE installation. Please note,

treated yellow pine has a tendency to twist and bow more than Cedar or Redwood. Applying and

maintaining a sealer on the caps will help minimize this movement over time and give you a much

longer life of your cap. For more stability, choose a Cedar cap and seal well before installation.
