Filigreed glass post caps are available in a contemporary Chevron style and a classic Leaf style.
These post caps are made to fit on top of a 4x4 fence or deck post for a decorative finishing touch or to hide irregular post ends.
These post caps can be attached by either applying exterior caulk to the under-side of the post cap, or by nailing the post cap to the post with finish nails.
We carry this cap with Cedar bases only.
As with any exterior product, it is recommended to apply a good quality finish to preserve the wood's natural beauty and protect the post cap. This will limit checking or cracking that could occur over time to sun exposure.
BEFORE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Whether you choose a treated or cedar cap, please apply a
sealer on ALL wood parts (top, bottom, inside and sides) of the cap BEFORE installation. Please note,
treated yellow pine has a tendency to twist and bow more than Cedar or Redwood. Applying and
maintaining a sealer on the caps will help minimize this movement over time and give you a much
longer life of your cap.
